[EN] Francesco Chianese is the author of all contributions on this website, except where specifically indicated, and he is responsible of all declarations and contents independently from REA, EU and other institutions or legal entities. He was a visiting scholar at the School of Art and Social Sciences, Monash University Monash. As a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellow (2020-23) at Cardiff University and California State University, Long Beach, he developed the research project TansIT-Many Diasporas from One Transnational Italy (2021-23) which resulted in this website. Previously, at CSULB he also taught Italian and Italian American culture as a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence (2018-19). He was awarded a John F. Kennedy Institute Library Grant (2019), a DAAD Short Research Grant (2015) and an EAAS Travel Grant (2014), all spent at the John F. Kennedy Institute, Freie Universität, Berlin. In 2018, he published the book “Mio padre si sta facendo un individuo problematico:” Padri e figli nell’ultimo Pasolini (1966-75). He co-edited the special issues of Italian Studies devoted to Growing Up Across the Borders: The Transnational Evolution of Italian Youth and the Nomadic Generation (2024), to which he also contributed with the article "Angelenos? What’s That? Young Italians in Los Angeles in the Fiction of John Fante, Andrea De Carlo, and Chiara Barzini." He also wrote in the journals Women Language Literature in Italy/Donne Lingua Letteratura in Italia (2022), Translation and Interpreting Studies (2022), Diacritica (2022), Ticontre (2020), Italian Studies (2018) and Between (2015, 2016), and in many collective volumes, among them the most recent Cesare Pavese Mythographer, Translator, Modernist: A Collection of Studies 70 Years after His Death (2023).
